October Goodwill "Share-A-Smile" Fundraiser is Packed Full of Fun & Excitement!

Goodwill Northern Illinois is in the midst of planning their 1st Annual Goodwill Share-A-Smile Fundraiser Event located at the Chicago-Rockford Int'l Airport on Saturday, Oct. 17th from noon to 3pm. And from what I hear - you don't want to miss this event!

Goodwill is pulling out all the stops to ensure that this first ever event is a successful one. Guests will be able to snack on hors d'oeuvres catered by the Rockford hot spot, Brio Restaurant. The event will also feature live entertainment by the popular Dean Moriarty Jazz Band. If that doesn't grab your attention, maybe some of the silent or live auction items will: a stainless steel gas grill, a 4-course golf pass and driver, a 40-person party with food & beverage included at a local pub, a 2-person Grand Bahama Island Cruise, and that's just the first few items I recall. Seems there is something for every pocketbook size. Goodwill wants everyone to be able to go home with something.

As if all of this wasn't enough, Goodwill will also be having a fashion show during the live auction intermission featuring many local celebrities as models. From what I've heard - you do not want to miss this! Goodwill will also be selling raffle tickets for a jewelry raffle. First through third prize will be drawn the afternoon of the event with prizes donated by two well-known local jewelers.

Ex-Rockford Mayor John McNamara will be emceeing this great event that's sure to leave you at the end of the afternoon with a smile. Tickets are surprisingly inexpensive for a fundraiser event - $30 per person. In my opinion, that's a steal for all of the fun stuff packed into this event. And to top it off - it's for a great cause. All proceeds will fund two brand new scholarships in the community.

You can purchase tickets by calling (815) 987-6237.

So, invite your friends & family, mark down October 17th on your calendar, and plan on attending the Goodwill "Share-A-Smile" fundraiser! I hope to see you there!
